Kennel Mission Statement
Pure Country Kennel was established in 1996 in a joint effort
between my brother Brandon and myself. Brandon has since moved on
to other interest in life, but still finds time now and then to
turn a hound loose. I started hunting hounds seriously in 1995 with
one goal in mind. That was to breed, own, and hunt a line of dogs
that looked and sounded like hounds that could get the job done
regardless of circumstances. After a relatively short 10 year span
I can honestly say we are well on our way. Most in part due to one
outstanding hound: LATE NITE BIG BUBBA. We have been fortunate
enough to own some really nice hounds and to experience the thrill
of winning at all levels. But without a doubt, I owe the most to
BUBBA for showing me what a true coondog is. He gave so much to
me on all those hard nights of hunting. Yet now he has given me so
much more by reproducing several outstanding young hounds that are
keeping us in the winners circle every year.
We really grew this year. Not necessarily in number, but in
strength. Trent Stanley joined the Pure Country Kennel team by
partnering up with me on most of my hounds and Trey Thurman joined
in as well by purchasing Dual Grand Cedar Run Jet Latch with me.
Trent and Trey are both hard hunting guys with similar aspirations
as myself, brought mostly in part by witnessing several accounts of
coons treed by Bubba's offspring.
I am definately starting to see the very high goals that I had
set for myself start coming into view. There is no better feeling as a
houndsmen than to breed what you hunt and to hunt what you breed
and to be well represented while doing it. I hope you enjoy this
site as you take a look inside Pure Country Kennel.
IF YOU'RE SATISFIED WITH LESS.... YOU WILL FIND IT.
